In a bid to protect the girls of Nigeria, thousands of Abuja women will take to the streets in protest.
The action follows the abduction of 234 pupils last week by Boko Haram.
The women will be dressed in red, in a campaign dubbed “Free Our Girls".
AriseCompatriotsOnline reports, "Earlier this month, Boko Haram carried out one of its most condemnable acts so far, kidnapping the girls from their school in the middle of the night. This abduction has led to widespread condemnation, with the government urged to do everything possible to free the girls."
The group encourages women who are the wives of parliamentary members and officials to urge their husband to enforce zero tolerance laws when it comes to protecting the country's women and children.
